Our recent Book Fair week was full of literary adventures, engaging activities and the chance to discover new worlds through the magic of books!.
We hosted Alaska Book Shop and Collins publishing house, offering our students two Book Fairs, one in Italian and one in English. The students were divided into buddy classes, with the older ones guiding their younger classmates to choose the most suitable books. The week kicked off with our spotlight on featured children’s author Fulvia degl’Innocenti. The author entertained the children with a presentation in which she discussed she discussed a selection of books from her collection of more than 130 titles. The students were gripped by her stories and asked a lot of questions. The teachers organised a special programme of activities including the highly anticipated Dress Up Day where students from the whole school dressed up as their favourite book characters to take part in a fun and colourful parade!
Purchases made during the Book Fairs will help enrich our library and increase the section of English children’s books.
